YES Bank rises 4% as promoters seek out-of-court settlement

Shares of YES Bank jumped over 4 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after a media report suggested that its two promoters – Rana Kapoor and Madhu Kapur – are considering an out-of-court settlement, and may withdraw the legal cases.

Cheering the news, shares of the bank gained as much as 4.59 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 234.40 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar trend, stocks of the lender were trading at Rs 233.85 apiece, up 4.10 per cent, on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 34,690.01, up 390.54 points, or 1.17 per cent, from the previous close on the BSE at 11:45 hours.
